Do you need false teeth? If you brush your teeth twice daily and floss at least once per day, the answer is most likely no. If you’re older than 60 and have lost several chompers, the answer could be yes.
Identifying the need for false teeth can be hard, but there are a few signs you can look for to determine whether you could have a need for dentures. First of all and most obviously, you could need false teeth if you are missing chompers. If the chompers you do have feel extra sensitive to heat, cold and other sensations, you may have grave tooth breakdown, necessitating partial or complete dentures.
If you do need false teeth, they’ll be developed to last for a long time. To develop dentures, Dr. Michael Gardner begins by taking an impression of the patient’s mouth, whether through use of a mold or imaging. After Dr. Michael Gardner reviews the impression or image to ensure it is ready, we will send the impressions to a dental laboratory for processing. Technicians at the lab use high temperatures and advanced techniques to create robust, durable dentures that will last for a very long time. In a second visit, Dr. Michael Gardner will make adjustments to the dentures to ensure that they sit well in the patient’s oral cavity.
